MOROT L'HALAKHA - ADVANCED HALAKHA PROGRAM
The Morot L'Halakha Program, a new innovative program at Matan HaSharon, is training women to be certified as leaders and halakhic advisors in the community who are versed in Halakhot including both family purity and life-cycle events (from child-birth through mourning), an aspect which is unique to this program. The Morot L'Halakha scholars are being trained in halachic, pastoral and medical spheres of these topics.
The program is one of a kind both in the breadth and depth of the material studied and in its location in the central part of Israel where no such opportunities for high level Halakha study for women exist.
In addition to the Beit Midrash learning, experts in a host of medical and allied medical fields lead workshops on wide-ranging, highly relevant topics. The program strives to provide the Morot L’Halakha with a holistic approach to these halakhic issues, from the understanding that Halakha is connected to other aspects of our lives. Experts include doctors, psychologists, sexologists, social workers, physio-therapists and other health professionals.
Rabbanit Shani Taragin heads the Matan HaSharon Morot L'Halakha program and serves as the teacher of the Taharat HaMishpacha classes. Rabbanit Shani is a leading scholar and lecturer. She is a certified Yoetzet Halacha and halakhic advisor.
