Morot L’Halakha

Cutting edge Beit Midrash program

Morot L’Halakha is a cutting edge advanced Beit Midrash program at Matan HaSharon.  It is training highly qualified women to become certified as community leaders and Halakhic advisors who are thoroughly versed in Halakhot related to family purity and the full range of life-cycle events (from child-birth through mourning). In parallel with their Halakhic studies, the participants delve into the psychological and medical aspects of these life-cycle events, enabling them to strengthen their understanding, professionalize and elevate the quality of the advice that they give.

The program is one of a kind both in terms of the depth and breadth of the material studied and its location in the central part of Israel where no such opportunities for high level Halakha study for women exist.

In addition to the Beit Midrash learning, experts in a host of medical and allied medical fields run workshops on wide-ranging, relevant topics. The program provides the students with a holistic approach to Halakhic issues, emanating from the understanding that Halakha is intrinsically connected to other aspects of our lives. Experts include doctors, psychologists, sexologists, social workers, physio-therapists and other health professionals.

Rabbanit Shani Taragin heads the Matan HaSharon Morot L’Halakha program and teaches the Taharat HaMishpacha classes. Rabbanit Shani is a leading scholar and lecturer. She is a certified Yoetzet Halacha and Halakhic advisor.

Rav Betzalel Daniel teaches the Halakhot of life cycle events. He serves as a Dayan in Beit Din Eretz Hemdah Gazit, coordinates and writes the curriculum of the Eretz Hemdah Moreinu program, and teaches the Eden Hatan Teacher Training course.

Rabbanit Batya Krauss teaches at Matan and serves as a mentor in the Morot L’Halakha program. She is a trained social worker and a Yoetzet Halakha.

Rav Yosef Zvi Rimon, Rav Yosef Carmel and Rav Ariel Holland are the guiding poskim.
