The study of Gemara and Halakha
The Beit Midrash offers a year of thorough and in-depth study of Gemara, Mishna and Halakha in Hebrew. Two days a week are devoted to chavruta (paired) learning and classroom study, with the object of delving deeply into a sugya while providing the basic tools for learning. The Halakha classes are devoted to studying the legal sources (in selected subjects) and the process as it evolves from the pasuk (verse) to the final legal decision.
