The Matan Kitvuni Fellowship 5785 (2024-2025) - Women Writing Books of Torah Scholarship - second cohort Matan invites outstanding female educators and scholars to apply for a Kitvuni Fellowship, designed to support Fellows to write a book of Torah scholarship (Tanakh, Talmud, Halakha, Jewish Thought) in English or Hebrew.

Fellows will devote three days each week exclusively to writing (with no conflicting work commitments), including one day a week (Mondays) in Matan’s Beit Midrash in Jerusalem. Mondays will also include professional workshops and meetings with the cohort of Kitvuni Fellows.

    Eligible candidates will be entitled to the following:
  • 60,000 NIS grant for one year (limited number of grants available)
  • Mentors / subject advisor, workshops, and a writing group.

Please note: The grant is dependent on meeting the expected output and upon completion of the book in correlation with the agreed upon timeframe.
