Description

In this conversation with Rabbanit Surale Rosen, we discuss the role of Elazar the priest in the war against Midian and in the critical eyes of Hazal.  Elazar becomes a rabbinic paradigm for the complex transition from student to teacher.

This week’s episode has been dedicated in memory of Ezriel ben Yitzchak Leiba z”l by his daugher, Sharon Fogel, to mark his 9th yartzheit (16th of Tammuz). Eddie Zipperstein, as he was known, was a wonderful and sensitive man dedicated to Jewish life and scholarship. He was a pillar of the LA community for decades.
