Course Description
This weekly study group will be focusing on some of the central books in the oeuvre of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks zt”l, who Tanya personally learnt under and was deeply influenced by. The aim of the workshop is to refine critical and analytical skills, to understand the broad ideas Rabbi Sacks engages with, and to gain a deeper and more nuanced understanding of the philosophical principles and thinkers that underpin his thought. In these challenging times Rabbi Sack’s ideas offer a panacea to our fractured souls. Our vision is to create a space for open, stimulating, and thought-provoking dialogue on the central and urgent questions facing Judaism today. Due to the limited space and nature of the workshop, it will require a solid commitment to weekly reading and attendance.
