Course Description
As technology and science advance over time, challenging halakhic situations arise which require Halakha to provide a response. Similarly, the new and changing reality of Jews living in their own state raises Halakhic questions in a variety of areas. In this course we will analyze how Halakha adapts and evolves to provide solutions to such conundrums.
We will be exposed to the flexibility of Halakha and its nuanced wisdom in many interesting, relevant situations including issues facing our soldiers on the battlefield, intellectual property, and evidence obtained using novel methods.
