Course Description

This course explores halakhic questions that affect us in the center of our existence. Through studying the halakhic texts from The Mishnah and Talmud to contemporary Poskim wee learn how rabbis “do halakha”: how they make halakhic decisions in matters that are of crucial importance to us today.

About the Educator Rabbanit Dr Hannah Hashkes

Hannah Hashkes directs the International Halakha Scholars Program (IHSP) of Ohr Torah Stone, and teaches Halakha and Talmud in various frameworks. She is a graduate of the Women's Institute of Halakhic Leadership, holds a PhD in philosophy and is the author of the book Rabbinic Discourse as a System of Knowledge, "The Study of Torah is Equal to them All", 2015.
