Course Description
This course is designed to take the knowledgeable student one step further. Every month, in addition to the classes analyzing Holocaust themes from a multidisciplinary perspective, there will also be outings to “hidden gems,” that is, tours of less visited sites of importance to the Holocaust story, as well as guest lectures from leaders in the field.
The course is open to new students as well as those who participated in Shifra’s class last year.
The classes in Chashmonaim will be from 10-11:15. When there are trips off the yishuv, those will be scheduled in the early afternoon, at around 1pm, depending on the distances involved. Where there is an admission fee to a site visit, this will be covered by the course. Buses to the trips will not be provided but efforts will be made to ensure that everyone can get a lift.
