Course Description
This weekly study group will be focusing on the oeuvre of Rabbi Sacks zt”l, who, Tanya personally learnt under and was deeply influenced by. Through engaging with the central ideas and works of Rabbi Sack’s, the class will journey towards a deeper, more authentic, richer and more inspired vision of Judaism that was his indomitable legacy. Join us on our exploration of amongst other things – covenant and pluralism, universalism and particularity, the import of Halakhic boundaries and the imperative of inter-faith relations. Share in the dialogue on Rabbi Sack’s understanding of contemporary societal challenges and the novel resolutions he proposes. Be moved and transformed by his unmatched ability to make Judaism fresh and the Torah relevant for our modern and postmodern religious consciousness.
