Course Description
One of the most remarkable commentaries on the non-legal teachings and stories (Aggada) of the Talmud is Rav Kook’s ‘Ein Ayeh’ where Rav Kook derives deep philosophical and spiritual lessons from these often puzzling or cryptic Talmudic teachings and stories. In this course we will study a number of Aggadic passages from the Talmud, along with their accompanying commentary from Rav Kook’s Ein Ayeh, and through doing so, we will learn the art of how to interpret Aggada, while also learning some of Rav Kook’s most beautiful and important philosophical and spiritual insights.
