Course Description
Even though Sefer Devarim is popularly understood as Moshe Rabeinu’s final speech where he reviews the laws and stories of the first four books, our series will uncover a very different understanding of probably the most important book of the Bible. By undertaking a careful study, we will show how the laws that Moshe teaches in Sefer Devarim are actually a set of laws that he received together with the Ten Commandments on Har Sinai – a set of laws so important, that they deserve their own book. The reader of the first four books has never encountered these laws. In our series, we will explain why the book is so misunderstood – and more important, we will explain why its laws [and rebuke] are so critical to our understanding of the very purpose of God choosing a nation.
