“What is the place of prayer today in the modern, cynical world? Is it possible to be a religious person and not pray or a secular person who prays? What is the phenomenon of prayer and how can it be logically understood? Who is it for? Is it the outpouring of the soul, or a function of the mind? Is it a conscious or unconscious action? Is it communication with God or with the self within?

Join Rabbanit Yafit Clymer as she explores these questions through the writings of some of the great Jewish spiritual thinkers of the modern age including the Baal Shem Tov, Rebbe Nachman, Rav Kook, Reb Hillel Zeitlin, Rabbi Soloveitchik, Rabbi Joshua Heschel, and more.
